DJ STACKTRACE (Steve Banik) began production and DJing in 1993 in South Bend, Indiana, early on crafting tracks for rappers Q-Swon and Jae Ellis and gospel artist Stephen Day. As a competitive DJ, he was a semi-finalist in Chicago's premier B96 WBBM-FM Mixmaster Search.
